Specializing in delivering custom work including furniture, cabinetry, and unique architectural details, the process is often as unique as the project. The only real consistencies are the conceptual developments offered in order to further elaborate on a client's vision, and the execution of each piece that brings reality to these raw ideas.
If large scale design work is needed before the scope of work can be concluded upon, we ask that clients place a retainer commensurate with the design efforts. Once the scope of work and understanding of the clients' wishes are accounted for a quote is presented for approval. Shop drawings or renderings are usually provided at this point to assist the client in seeing how we've interpreted their requests. Once materials are delivered to our shop we inspect them for quality and select within the batch which pieces best fit the aesthetic of the job. When the raw construction of the project is completed it is prepared for finishing, delivery and then installation. There are instances where we strongly recommend finishing the woodwork after its installed, and the basis for this decision is the prioritization of three main factors; allowed occupancy within the home/office for installation work, seamless quality of a built in look, and the difficulty of achieving installation without damage to the finish by other tradesman or the necessary woodwork adjustments accompanied by the nature of complex installations. Often times a client can request changes or additional features once the product is realized in their home, and we are happy to accommodate these changes once the incurred costs are outlined and agreed upon. We ask that our clients have patience during the accommodation of these requests due the effects this may place on our other waiting clients.
With wood being our primary medium of craft, the end result is usually shocking, as the project transcends its conceptual state with the unique beauty that each and every piece our hand selected materials contain. As the owner I personally plan and execute each project while maintaining a deep respect for our resources and long lasting durability of my products. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of proper planning through each project to ensure ultimate satisfaction is achieved and sustainable building practices are used. As a craftsman the most important thing I can offer my clients is a window into the worlds beautiful resources through the functional work we can accomplish together.
